"A Holistic Approach to Uncertainty Quantification with Application to Supersonic Nozzle Thrust" was principally written by Christopher J. Roy of Virginia Tech. It presents a V&V&UQ framework applied to a supersonic nozzle problem. Dr. Balch contributed a small section exploring the mathematical distinction between A-outer and E-outer propagation of mixed probabilistic and interval uncertainty.

"Computing with Confidence" was principally written by Scott Ferson of Applied Biomathematics. It provides an accessible introduction to confidence structures or "c-boxes". Dr. Balch contributed several numerical examples to this paper, as well as consulting at length with Dr. Ferson on the theoretical and practical aspects of confidence structures.
